2011 BMW 5-Series Tuned by TopCar, Cardi and Lumma Design

The brand-new 2011 BMW 5-Series hasn't even made its motor show debut yet, but tuners are already actively working on their plans to present an array of performance and cosmetic goodies for the Bavarian automaker's premium sedan. One of the first proposals comes from a trio of companies, Russia's TopCar and Cardi, and Germany's Lumma Design, that have joined forces to offer a new sport package for the Bimmer.

TopCar and Cardi will handle the design aspect of the project while Lumma Design will be responsible for the manufacturing of the kit as well as the performance upgrades.

Although the three tuners have not disclosed any specific details about the package, they did release a set of photoshoped images that show a new wide bodykit trimmed in carbon fiber that consists of new bumpers, fender extensions, side skirts and a boot lid spoiler.

In addition, the tuners previewed three different alloy wheel designs for the 2011 5-Series.

The tuners said that the completed package will be presented in April 2010.

Aston Martin DB9 Volante Tricked Out by Wheelsandmore

Now here's an elegant tuning proposal for the Aston Martin DB9 Volante, courtesy of the German firm, Wheelsandmore. The tuner's program for the drop-top Aston Martin includes styling and performance upgrades both for the suspension and V12 powerhouse. On the outside, the DB9 Volante gains a tasteful and non-intrusive bodykit comprising of front and rear aprons, side skirts and a boot lid spoiler.

The convertible's looks are complemented by a set of 20-inch Kahn RS-V alloy wheels shod in Dunlop Sport Maxx tires size 255/35 at the front and 285/30 at the back.

Under the bonnet, Wheelsandmore reprogrammed the 6.0-liter V12 engine's ECU and installed a sportier stainless-steel exhaust system with electronically controlled flaps, thus raising output from 470HP and 600Nm, to 536HP and 650Nm

New BMW Alpina B7 BiTurbo Long Makes World Debut at Tokyo Show

Alpina was one of only two foreign car brands (the other one being Lotus) to make its way to this year's Tokyo Motor Show floors. The BMW customizer brought along several vehicles, the most important being the new Alpina B7 BiTurbo Long as it had its world premiere. As you've probably figured out by now, the only difference between this model and the B7 BiTurbo that was first saw in Geneva is that it is based on the long wheelbase BMW 7-Series offering a few more inches of space for the rear passengers.

Like the 'base' Alpina B7 BiTurbo, it too features a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 producing 507 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of peak torque thanks to the larger turbos and a new intercooler. Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a tweaked six-speed automatic transmission.

Other highlights include a subtle aero kit with front and rear aprons, and a discreet boot lid spoiler, plus a bespoke interior, 21-inch alloy wheels and a retuned suspension.
